I have been a member of Jay’s gym for a few months now – I have NEVER had a workout routine like this. I don’t lift weights anymore (maybe I should but I am so exhausted after his training that I don’t.) Growing up, I was known as “Captain Coordination” because I was not exactly the most coordinated person in the world, but Jay has a style of teaching that works for me, even though I am 37. I would highly recommend Jay’s gym for anyone who is looking for a different way of getting in shape that allows you to learn and grow over time.
I had never taken Jiu Jitsu before this class but was encouraged by a friend to try. Being 37 years old, there are a lot of things that are harder for me to do, and I have never been the most coordinated person in the world. Still, I feel like I am learning an incredible amount and the training allows you to explore what you are good at as opposed to just general, one size fits all training. The only bad thing is that I don’t have as much time as I would like (or physical stamina, yet) to do more. But the training has helped me improve my conditioning and also learn how to defend myself. I would highly recommend this facility (and Jay’s curriculum) to anyone who wants to better themselves in a variety of ways.
MMA, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai training I have been training with Jay Pages for about 3 years now and have learned sooooo much from his coaching. He has produced several great fighters and when the jiu jitsu team goes to a tournament medals are always brought home. Master Jay is an amazing intructor! I’ve only been training here for about 2 and a half months, but he has already made me feel like part of the family. When I was looking for a martial arts school to get back in shape, I contacted all the jiu jitsu schools in the area. Jay Pages from PCA was prompt in returning my call and answered all my questions. Before training with Jay I never felt comfortable with my body. I had always been a little over weight, and never had the drive to better myself. Jay Pages changed that with his challenging and ever-evolving workouts. My name is Antonio Towner from Ahwatukee via IOWA!! And I’ve been training with Jay for six months. I’ve always been strong from weightlifting but i have never actually felt “in shape”. This is Tsui-jen from Chandler, AZ. I started training with master jay just doing regular conditioning and messing around with BJJ. As months passed and as the infatuation with training grew it just keeps getting better and better. Noticing muscles that haven’t existed i don’t think ever, and mental strength that has never been there before. And the best part is that despite the fact that i am female, the training is just as rigorous and evil for me as it is for the rest of the men. Leaving the lab with bruises the size of melons and owies on and average basis and loving it. Now with a new found thirst for mental, physical power and strangely enough thirst for pain, and a team of guys and girls who are supportive, i hope to grow and develop as a female fighter competitively and i know for an absolute fact that i can attain that at Jay Pages Jiu-Jitsu.

I’ve been in the MMA game for over 8 years now and Jay is by far on of the best trainers I’ve had. I was one of Jay’s first students at LA Boxing. I never in a million years thought that I could do jiu jitsu but Jay proved me wrong. He was the driving force that made me get to the gym every day. He has the ability to make you push yourself to the limit and just when you think you have reached that limit he pushes you even further. I was 250 pounds when I first started training with Jay and with him as my trainer I now walk around at 190. I think what makes Jay so good at what he does is he actually just loves doing it.
